A/C-JOC Makes an Inspection Visit to TMD
On Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023, A/C-JOC Eng. Nayef Abdullah Al-Anazi paid an inspection visit to the Terminal and Marine Department (TMD) accompanied by EDO Dr. Faisal M. Al-Thawad, MEL Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Kandari, MON Eng. Abdullah S. Al-Mutairi, and MOF Eng. Marai Al Abbas.
Upon arrival, they were received by MTM Eng. Mohsen F. Al-Zobi, and the Terminal and Marine Division Superintendent and personnel.
The team responsible for handling oil spills provided a briefing to Al-Anazi and the delegation regarding the methods adopted by KJO to effectively control and contain oil spills. They also discussed the protocols and procedures implemented to manage such incidents whenever they occur. Additionally, practical exercises were conducted using boats and oil containment resources to demonstrate the preparedness of the team.
Al-Anazi received information from specialists and engaged in discussions with them regarding the appropriate procedures. He stressed the importance of maintaining the safety of facilities and the environment, implementing safety protocols, and integrating KJO values into all operational activities.
Al-Zobi, in turn, affirmed that TMD is effectively carrying out its obligations toward achieving KJO goals. He emphasized the unwavering commitment of TMD personnel in flawlessly fulfilling their responsibilities in this regard.
Al-Anazi concluded his visit by expressing his thanks to TMD and the national oil spill team for their unwavering commitment to preserving the marine environment.
