KJO Participates in GWECCC, Manama
On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa inaugurated the Global Water, Energy, and Climate Change Congress (GWECCC) in Manama, under the slogan " Water Sustainability and Energy Transition: Implications on GCC & the World". The event was attended by several ministers, officials, specialists, and academics specializing in the oil and environmental sectors from various countries. The conference featured 130 speakers from 30 countries who discussed the challenges and opportunities for investment in water sustainability and the preservation of natural resources in the GCC countries. The aim was to promote the use of the best techniques and modern technology in this field. Over 20 specialized companies, universities, and organizations participated in the accompanying exhibition, showcasing and presenting the latest technical solutions in water, energy, climate change, and related studies. In this regard, KJO participated in the event, and A/C-JOC Eng. Nayef A. Al-Anazi attended the opening ceremony. During the exhibition's opening, H.E. Sheikh Khalid Al Khalifa visited KJO pavilion, and Al-Anazi received him and offered him a commemorative shield on this occasion in the presence of MEL Dr. Abdul-Salam Al-Kandari, and MCB Eng. Muhammad Khalil. Furthermore, on the evening of the opening day, the Organizing Committee held a ceremony at Gulf Hotel where Al-Anazi received an honorary shield for KJO from H.E. the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Environment, Mr. Faihan Al-Faihani.
