AGOC and KGOC Sign MoU for Dorra Gas Field Development



Under kind auspices of H.R.H. Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Energy, and H.E. Dr. Badr Hamed Al-Mulla, Minister of Oil in the State of Kuwait, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by AGOC President & CEO, Eng. Ali Bin Saleh Al-Ajmi, and KGOC A/CEO Eng. Khalid Nayef Al-Otaibi, for developing the joint Dorra Gas Field, which is expected to produce one billion cubic feet of gas; to be divided equally between the two partners.
The MoU signing ceremony took place in the headquarters of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), in Kuwait, Sunday, 17 Jumada I, 1444H, corresponding to 11 Dec. 2022, in the presence of the two Ministers, the Saudi Ambassador H.H. Prince Sultan Bin Sad Bin Khalid Al Saud, KPC CEO Sheikh Nawaf Saud Nasser Al-Subah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Sheikh Nemr Fahad Al-Subah, and AGOC Chairman Eng. Khalid Bin Abdullah Al-Buraik, as well as the executive management members of AGOC and KGOC.
The signing of the MoU is considered an implementation to the memo of Dorra Offshore Gas Field Development, signed on March 21st, 2022.
The Development works will resume directly and the work will be accelerated according to the program implementation plan and schedule approved by the two countries, as per the MoU signed in Kuwait on 27 Rabi II, 1441H, corresponding to 24 Dec. 2019, between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait, regarding the joint work for developing and exploiting Dorra Field.
